Our Local Artists Program highlights the rich tapestry of Singaporean talent while promoting awareness of ecological and social responsibility. Each piece reflects a commitment to preserving our planet, connecting guests to meaningful stories behind the art.
Featured Artist: Agy Textile
Agy Textile transforms fabric into vibrant visual stories, bringing coral and marine motifs to life. These artworks echo Novotel’s dedication to marine preservation and environmental sustainability. Art, for Agy, is a bridge between creativity and science. Her pieces evoke the fragility of coral reefs, the beauty of biodiversity, and the poetry of underwater life—reminding us of what is at stake if we neglect our oceans.
“From stitched coral to real coral reefs — we connect the threads of creativity with the threads of conservation.” By showcasing Agy Textile’s work, we highlight the connection between art and action. Guests can enjoy the beauty of her creations while reflecting on Novotel’s ongoing efforts to reduce marine pollution and support ocean health, in partnership with organisations like WWF.

Opened in Hong Kong in 2007, A Gallery, offers a platform for talented artists to showcase their work to both local and international collectors. Their mission is to challenge artistic boundaries and celebrate contemporary art in a connected world. We are excited to introduce Angel Hui to our hotel.
Angel Hui reimagines the role of single-use plastic through her Goldfish series, inspired by the bags used in Hong Kong’s Goldfish Market. Collaborating with Suzhou embroiderers, she hand-embroidered goldfish onto transparent plastic bags, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art and inviting reflection on the social meaning of everyday objects.
